Chili

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef (lean if possible)
l medium onion, chopped
2 14-oz. tins kidney beans
1 medium green pepper
1 tin each stewed tomatoes/mushrooms (optional)
dash salt, black pepper, garlic powder (to taste)
2 tsp. chili powder (I tend to add a bit more, but it's
up to your individual taste)


Saute the onion, then add the meat and brown. Drain off any excess fat as required. Add the rest of the ingredients, including as much of the juice from the
kidney beans as you need for the desired consistency.
Simmer appoximately 2 hours. Makes at least 8 servings.
